Two Snuggle Bugs

The Idea

I have loved creating things all my life. When I was little my mom taught me to make blankets and simple clothes for my dolls and teddy bears. Throughout my life I have tried different crafty avenues, I made jewelry for a little while, I loved making cards and scrap booking, and creating projects to decorate my home. I've learned I really enjoy the satisfaction I feel holding a finished project in my hands. After my son and daughter were born I decided I wanted to sew for them and enjoyed my early attempts at making their Halloween costumes or Christmas pajamas. I also knew that I wanted to share the joy of handmade and unique clothing with others. That's how Two Snuggle Bugs was born.

About Me

My name is Patricia MacNeil and I am married to a wonderful man who serves in the US Army and together we have two great kids. Currently we live in Columbia. MD and are exploring the Chesapeake Bay for the first time. I enjoy watching movies, binging on Netflix in my spare time, and playing with my kids. One of my favorite things to do with my kids is to snuggle. My son loved to cuddle with a blanket and fall asleep in my arms as a baby and toddler and my daughter has always loved early morning snuggles in my bed with one of her stuffed animals in her arms. When I was thinking of what my business should be named "Two Snuggle Bugs" came naturally.

100% Handmade

I first learned to sew when I was 5 or 6 years old and it is something I have enjoyed throughout my life. My mother and grandmother were accomplished seamstresses and I loved sitting in the "sewing room" watching them turn fabric into beautiful creations. My early attempts at clothes and blankets for my dolls and stuffed animals were far from perfect, but attention to detail and perfection in my work is something that I learned watching my mom and gram. They would praise my early attempts and share their knowledge to improve next time. I create everything with my own two hands and I am proud of my brand and the quality of my creations. I put as much love and detail into my work as any skilled artist.
